Palace On Wheels Tour Itinerary
Day-1 New Delhi -Wednesday Departure 6:00 PM.

You are going to experience a regal journey. It is a journey which would make you feel like a royalty. The palace of Wheels start

s its journey from Delhi Cantonment station.  The guests are given a ceremonial welcome on their arrival. The train would travel through really fabulous destinations of regal Rajasthan. You would see its splendid forts and amazing palaces. Savour the beauty of beautiful Taj Mahal. The luxury train is appointed with two exquisite restaurants to satiate your taste buds.

Day-2 Jaipur-Thursday Arrival 3:45 AM Departure 11:30 PM
Palace on Wheels reaches the majestic Jaipur also called Pink city. This magical city is the capital of Indian state of Rajasthan. Experience the cultural extravaganza of this regal city and its wonderful city. This beautiful city was built by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh II in 1727. Visit   Hawa Mahal situated on the main street of Old City. It is a beautiful five story building done in pink. Visit the majestic Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Swai Jai Singh II. Amber fort is the zenith of the Rajput architecture. Here, you will enjoy a thrilling elephant ride up to the Amber fort which sis situated ona hillock.   Jaipur has bustling bazaars where you can buy the ethnic jewelry, handicrafts, carpets blue pottery and textiles. You can buy genuine Rajasthani handicrafts at Rajasthali at fixed prices.

Return to the Palace on Wheels train. You would be taken back in air-conditioned coaches to the train. The dinner served on board the train.
Day-3 Swai Madhopur-Friday Arrival 5:30 AM Departure 10:30 AM
The Palace of wheels train reaches at Swai Madhopur in the morning.  This city was founded by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I and is named after him. After your breakfast, you will explore  the Ranthambhore National Park.  The park has ruins of 10th century ruins of a fort. The Ranthambore National Park is spread over a wide area and more than 300 species of birds are found  here. The tiger is the royal attraction here. The numerous  other animals found in the park are Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Common or Hanuman langurs, Macaques, Jackals, Jungle cats, etc.  You can shop for ethnic jewelry, toys and costumes at Swai.  You will have your lunch at Palace on Wheels. Get back to the  luxury train for the onward journey to Chhitaurgarh.
Day-3 Friday, Chittorgarh Arrival- 4:00 PM Departure 2:00 AM
Chittorgarh is famous for its epic wars and sieges. It is a  town known for the chivalry and bravery of the Rajputs. The Chittaurgarh fort is the largest in India. It is representative fort of Rajput architecture. There are various other forts known for their beauty. Rani Padmini fort is also famous for its beauty. Rani Padmini was a beautiful woman and Alaudhin Khiliji attacked the fort to get her. But she performed Jauhar and ended her life. Sound and light show at the fort would delight you. 

Return back to the Place on Wheels train. Next destination is Udaipur.
Day-4 Saturday, Udaipur Arrival 8:00 AM Departure 3:30 PM
Udaipur, the Lake City, is known for its pristine grandeur. It is also called Venice of the East.  A luxury coach would take you there.  Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar founded it in 1559 A.D.  Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir are the two main attractions of the city. They seem to arise out of Lake Pichola. After lunch, you would explore the City Palace. Afterwards, you will reach the Place of Wheels parked at Jaisalmer.  It has been remarkable day of seeing an exquisitely beautiful city.
Day-5 Jaisalmer- Sunday Arrival 9:15 AM Departure 11:45 PM
The luxury train reaches  Jaisalmer in the morning.It  is situated amidst Aravali Hills and The Great Desert of India. The city was founded in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal. The fort constructed in yellow sand-stone towers over the whole city. There are superb havelis and mansions which present a stately sight. You will visit famous havelis like Nathmalji-Ki Haveli, Patwon-Ki Haveli and Salim Singh-Ki Haveli. You can shop at Govt. Emporium, Rajasthali. A   camel ride on the sand dunes is an amazing experience.  Enjoy the cultural show at the hotel. Return to the Palace on wheels. Dinner and overnight on board the train. The next destination is Jodhpur.
Day-6 Jodhpur-Monday Arrival 07:00 AM Departure 3:30 PM
The palace on wheels reaches Jodhpur in the morning. It is a magnificent  city founded by Rao Jodha   in 1459 A.D.  The   famous rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort is a splendid sight.  The fort contains some fantastic attractions like Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana. Jaswant Thada is situated near the fort complex.  Umaid Bhawan Palace is the finest and largest palace in the world. You would really love the excellence of the Rajput architecture. You can buy ethnic items from the bazaars here.   Return to the Palace on Wheels train. Dinner and stay abroad the Palace on Wheels. Next destination is Bharatpur.
Day-7 Bharatpur-Tuesday Arrival 5:00 A.M. Departure 8:45 am
Palace on wheels train reaches at Bharatpur early in the morning. It is known for the   Keoladeo Ghana National Park. It was once the capital of Maharaja Suraj Mal. The sanctuary is visited by large number of migratory birds. It is home to around three hundred species of birds. After a thrilling day of bird-watching, you would return back to the palace on Wheels train. Dinner and stay on board the train.
Day-7 Agra-Tuesday Arrival 10.30 AM Departure 11:00 PM
It will be rewarding day as the Palace on Wheels reaches Agra. It is famous for the blindingly beautiful building of Taj Mahal. In the words of Mark Twain, it is a teardrop on the cheek of the eternity.   You would visit the amazingly beautiful Taj. It is a world Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is said to be poetry written stones. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built it in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. The city of Agra is also known for the leather works.

Afterwards, visit Agra fort which has some remarkable buildings like palaces, gardens, artworks, etc. It is fine example of Hindu and Mughal architecture. After the wonderful day of sight-seeing, you will return back to the Palace on Wheels train. Dinner and stay on the train.  Overnight journey to Delhi.
Day-8 Delhi-Wednesday  
In the morning, the Palace on Wheels train would reach Delhi. This is the end of the fantastic journey. But the memories of this great journey will always remain with you.
